This page is here to keep you up to date with how foyles.co.uk may be affected by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and hopefully answer a few frequently-asked questions too. We’ll keep updating this page as the situation develops.
A quick summary:
All online orders are currently subject to some delay, as a result of record order levels and protective measures installed in our warehouse;
We’re beginning to reopen some of our physical shops from Monday 15th June;
Click & Collect will become available for reopened shops from opening;
Deliver to Store will become available for reopened shops from opening;
All instore events have been cancelled or postponed with no set date.
We want to say a huge thank you to all our customers for their custom, their patience, and their kind words about Foyles during this unprecedented disruption to our usual bookselling.

Our website is happily still operating, and has seen a huge and sustained increase in traffic and ordering. Our teams are working hard to pick, pack and despatch orders promptly as possible. To ensure social distancing, our warehouse is operating with a reduced workforce, with additional safeguards in place to protect employees at this time.
Latest UK Delivery Estimates
- Free delivery UK Standard Delivery on Orders Over £20 (2nd Class) - 3-5 workings days
- 1st Class (£3.75) - 1-2 working days
- 2nd Class (£2.75) - 3-5 working days
- UK Courier (£7.95) - Not currently available
However, these are only estimates, and should be added to despatch times listed on the item page, and deliveries could face subsequent delays once they have shipped from our warehouse.
We are extremely grateful to Royal Mail who are working incredibly hard to get all deliveries to our customers as quickly as possible.
As we share our warehouse with other booksellers in the Waterstones group, your order may not arrive in Foyles packaging.
Our Customer Support team is also receiving a high number of emails and are responding as quickly as they can. If you need to get in touch with Customer Services, you can still do so via email.
