The Film: An Afternoon with George Amos

Join local author, George Amos, for a reading from his debut novel 'The Film', inspired by his passion for historical events.

It is 1940 and First World War veteran John Groves awaits news of the impending invasion of London by Nazi Germany - his priority, to protect his family. After a high-ranking German general visits John's family home, an unlikely friendship develops amid the intrigue of an occupied nation.


George will read from his book, before giving a talk on the inspiration behind the novel and signing copies for attendees.
