Late Night Shopping with Mulled Wine and Treats inspired by Lateral Cooking
*Please note: due to unforeseen circumstances this event has moved from its original date of Tuesday 18th December*
Christmas has arrived at Foyles and as always we are keeping the doors open just a little later than usual with some very special treats taken from food writer Niki Segnit’s latest book Lateral Cooking and created in the Foyles café by our very own on-site chefs!
The companion volume to bestseller The Flavour Thesaurus, Lateral Cooking is divided into 12 chapters each covering a basic culinary category. The recipes in each chapter are then arranged with one dish leading to another: once you've got the hang of flatbreads then its neighbouring dishes—crackers, soda bread, scones—involve the easiest and most intuitive adjustment. The result is greater creativity in the kitchen: Lateral Cooking encourages improvisation, resourcefulness and ultimately the knowledge and confidence to cook by heart.
Treats inspired by Lateral Cooking along with mulled wine will be served from 7pm until we’ve run out!
Tickets: No reservation necessary, simply stop by the stall on the Ground Floor!
Venue: Foyles 107 Charing Cross Road
