In conversation with: The inspiring Birmingham women 'Who Dared To Dream'

Thursday 22nd November 2018 6pm - 8pm Grand Central Birmingham Literary Event, Signing, Children's Event, Chargeable Event

To celebrate the great women of Birmingham both past and present, Birmingham City Council is hosting a networking event at Foyles Book Store, in Birmingham Grand Central on 22 November.

Domestic abuse survivor and campaigner Raj Holness; mathematician Dr Sara Jabbari, who plays a vital role in combatting devastating bugs like MRSA; and Salma Zulfiqar, international artist, humanitarian activist with the United Nations and former ITV journalist are among the inspiring women who will be sharing their stories.

The event is based on the book Once Upon A Time In Birmingham: Women Who Dared To Dream, which aims to inspire the city’s next generation of female achievers, leaders and pioneers. The book is part of the Birmingham City Council’s campaign to mark the centenary of certain women getting the right to vote in 1918.

This is your chance to hear from some of the great women featured in the book and meet with other like-minded women living and working in this fantastic city.

Tickets include:

  • Event entry

  • Drinks reception and canapes

  • 1 x Once Upon A Time In Birmingham: Women Who Dared To Dream book (RRP £14.99)

Please book your tickets here.
