Requiem: The Pity of War with Ian Bostridge and Sir Antonio Pappano
Acclaimed tenor-piano duo Ian Bostridge and Sir Antonio Pappano join us for an evening of performance and conversation to mark the release of Requiem: The Pity of War their new collaboration of 19 songs spanning marking the 100th year anniversary of the end of World War 1.
In this exclusive event Ian and Sir Antonio present extracts of works from Gustav Mahler and Kurt Weill whilst introducing composers of promise and achievement whose lives were cut short by the Great War including Englishman George Butterworth and German Rudi Stephan.
The conversation will be hosted by James Jolly, Editor in Chief Gramophone Magazine and both artists will be signing copies of Requiem: the Pity of War following the event.
