Regeneration
(Paperback)
Pat Barker

A novel that looks at causes and aftermaths as much as the action of a crisis. I fell for a character - the charismatic and ambiguous Billy - and also for the astonishing and rich new view this novel offers into a war we think we know all about. The best modern novel on World War 1.
