The book, which originated as an idea for a short film, has sparked a fierce bidding war, with rights sold in 22 countries. Film rights were bought by Ridley Scott/Fox 2000, with Ridley Scott scheduled to direct. Tom has worked as a screenwriter for the past five years, including a six month stint in Phnom Penh storylining Cambodia's first ever soap opera. He paints mainly using a basic printing technique that consists of stamping colour covered objects directly onto the canvas or walls. These are recycled objects, things around him that have a shape capable to suit the idea. The accumulation of traces and shapes produces an abstract result that mixes strict geometry and organic elements. Also presented will be a series of experimental film works inspired by Nicko's installation.
