Foyles Chelmsford Young Adult Reading Group

Thursday 30th March 2017 4:30pm - 5:30pm Bond Street Chelmsford Literary Event, Free Event

Whether you’re a young adult yourself, or just love YA fiction, this is the perfect opportunity to get your teeth stuck into literary debate and meet likeminded people.

Every month we’ll be hosting a YA Reading Group in our Chelmsford store to talk about a YA book chosen by you. This could be a brand new, hot off the press title or a teen classic. Enjoy a hot or cold drink in our café (on us!) and talk about your favourite books and the latest YA trends.

For this first session, we want you to take a look at this fascinating TED Talk by novelist Chimamanda Adichie who discusses the importance of recognising that our lives and cultures are made up of many overlapping stories, and bring along any thoughts and ideas you have about it. We will use this as a bit of an ice-breaker at the beginning of the event.

At the end of this session we will be providing you with an advanced proof of a pre-publication title to take away and read for the following meeting.

Tickets: This is a free event, simply add the required number to the basket below. Please note, no physical tickets will be issued (to save the trees!). Your email confirmation is proof of booking.

Venue: Foyles, 86 Bond Street, Chelmsford, CM1 1GH
